Dr Melanie van Niekerk

Dr. Melanie van Niekerk has always had a natural inclination to understand the body and its capacity for self-healing, a journey that began with her own healing experiences. This passion led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Complementary Health Sciences (BSc CHS) and a Bachelor of Complementary Medicine in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the University of the Western Cape (UWC).

As an advocate for holistic wellness and a dedicated Vipassana student, she continually seeks ways to support her own health and that of others, aiming to contribute positively to global wellness.

Dr. Melanie has specific interests in pain management, psycho-emotional disorders, and neuroplasticity. She believes in practicing “slow and meaningful medicine.” Through her experiences, she has developed a deep well of goodwill and an ocean of gratitude that feels limitless. She is eager to share the benefits of her knowledge and insights with those around her.
